“Yeazy Labels”: A Sticky Little Experiment on My Sliders

I stuck an EAZY personalised name label to the underside of my “Yeazy” sliders four weeks ago—between the grooves of the tread. After 16–20 spa visits (about 4–5 a week), including pool decks, changing rooms, hot sauna and steam room, that label is still going strong on a low-energy, rubberised surface. Here’s what I did, what I learned, and how you can get the same stick-and-stay performance.

Why this was a tough test
Footwear is rough on labels. Sliders and sport sandals are often made from low surface energy (LSE) materials like EVA, TPR or rubbery blends—surfaces that most stickers hate. Add water, heat, steam, sweat, movement and scuffing, and you’ve got a torture test.
So I tried something different: I placed the label between two tread grooves on the underside of the slider—out of the main wear path—then followed a careful application routine (below). Result: no lifting, no drama.

What survived—and why
Water & steam: The water-fast print stayed sharp; the adhesive didn’t milk or edge-lift
Heat: Regular sauna/steam cycles didn’t break the bond (thanks to proper cure + protected placement)
Movement: Nestling the label in the groove reduces shear, which is the real label killer on soles
What this means for you
For shoes/trainers/boots, our extra-durable labels stick brilliantly when you:
Apply to clean, dry, smooth areas
Place them where they’re protected from friction (we recommend inside the heel cup or on a flat insole for day-to-day wear)
Give them 24 hours before hard use or washing
For wet environments (pools, changing rooms, sports), choose Extra-Durable over standard. The combination of water-fast print, antibacterial coating, and extra-permanent adhesive makes all the difference.

Do / Don’t (quick guide)
Do
Apply to Clean, dry and dust free spot
Press edges firmly and let it cure 24 hours
Tuck labels into protected zones (grooves, heel cups, flat insoles)
Don’t
Stick onto dusty, oily, or textured areas
Expect miracles on high-scuff contact patches (direct outsole contact with asphalt)
Skip the cure time—that’s when bonds are made
A note on “Yeazy Labels”
“Yeazy Labels ” is a playful nickname for my sliders—no affiliation or endorsement implied. The point isn’t the brand; it’s that even tough, rubberised footwear is fair game when you apply labels the right way.
